El Farell is one of those climbs around Barcelona that everyone would like to discover upon a bike. Good climb, not too steep, nice surface, no traffic at all, and close enough to Barcelona. The road is a dead-end road from Caldes de Montbui leading to Sant Sebastià de Montmajor. Beside the main road, there is an alternative road that is a little steeper that joins the main road in a shorter way and gets together close to the top. If you want to get to the highest point of El Farell, then at the top of the main road you should take the road to the left (in less good shape than the very main road) and follow to the restaurant on top, which is just open on the weekend. This is a classical ride for Barcelona city cyclists, as the complete tour (way and back) is less than 100 km long. The numbers are not too impressive, as it is a mild climb. It is about 8 km at a 6% average gradient (about 500 meters elevation). You can see the details of the Strava segment here: https://www.strava.com/segments/3369058 You can discover El Farell in one of our private guided tours starting in Barcelona. Come and join us!

We are working on new merchandise for the 2020 season, and especially on Barcelona cycling jersey. First thought was a jersey with FC Barcelona colors, the red and blue characteristic colors of our football team (famous all over the world), but later we realized that, it wouldn't fit the cycling as we want. The main color being yellow (like the Tour de France leader) sounds much better, don't you think? Also, the fact that we include some of the most iconic places in Barcelona would be something that everybody would love. Is there a better memory of a cycling tour in Barcelona that the jersey we are offering? Stating "I love Barcelona" and seeing the Barcelona skyline? We think there is not a better one. You can see the Sagrada Familia, the Agbar tower, Montjuic, Tibidabo... We love this Barcelona kit by @mozia_sportswear matching with our Montefusco Cycling shorts. This jersey is available in all sizes (small, medium, large, extralarge) in our tours and we also accept orders online. We also offer cycling shorts matching the jersey. Of course we still have our usual Montefusco Cycling jersey, mainly in white color, matching our shorts. Join our tours and of course buy our outfit!

All of us into cycling love having a nice beer when finishing a ride, don't you? Bikes and breweries match, and it is becoming a very popular way to know a city or a region. Also in Barcelona, of course. Even if we are focused on serious cycling on carbon road bikes, we love sharing with our visitors this part of the Catalan culture, and at the end of a demanding ride tasting some nice beer in a local place plenty of charm. They are very few such pleasant things to do after a bike ride! Our tours around Barcelona are demanding and plenty of climbing, that's one of the main attractions when cycling in Barcelona, but once we finished, it is time to enjoy ourselves and find a great place, being a small brewery or one of the main Catalan beer producers. By the way, they are Damm and Moritz. Let us recommend especially Moritz, as they have an amazing tapas restaurant in which you can enjoy not only the several types of beers but also some very nice tapas. Then we have some small breweries which are totally worth to visit and taste their beer such as La Cassette. They also love bikes, so that's a plus! Bikes and breweries in Barcelona match, no doubt! In case you don't need such a demanding ride, we can also adapt the route to your needs. We can customize the tour for you and your group, as we are focused on private tours. We also have some e-bikes to make a little easier the tour. This way, some not-so-fit friends can join the ride! Bikes and breweries in Barcelona are one of the best ways to get to know the Catalan way of life. Join us to discover it!
