The Barcelona hills tour is a demanding ride that includes 3 or 4 climbs and a total elevation gain of 1400 mts, but we can fully adapt the tour in terms of distance and difficulty. Today we had Jaime from Mexico doing one of our road bike tours in Barcelona. Road cycling in Barcelona is a fantastic experience for those loving cycling or loving outdoor sports. We have a number of nice hills to ride without traffic very close to the city, in Collserola range mountains. The highlight of any cycling trip is the climb to Tibidabo, at 500 mts height. From the top of the mountain (where there is an amusement park and a church) you will get the best views of the city. Even if they are not very big nor steep climbs, the tour itself is a demanding ride. The full version is 83 km long with 1400 meters elevation, which is a bit! We include the climbs to the Cemetery of Collserola, Forat del Vent, Tibidabo, and Creu d'Olorda. The most demanding parts are a couple of kilometers in La Rierada neighborhood. After a very steep descent there are a couple of tough sections in which you have to give it all! Especially because it is at the end of the tour, on the way to Creu d'Olorda, which is a fantastic solitaire road. Nevertheless, our bikes are equipped with compact crank 34-50, and 11 speed (usually 11-32), so there is a good chance to get to the top! As we can adapt the tour to your needs, we can make the tour shorter, as from the top of Tibidabo we can descend straight to Barcelona instead of doing the last loop in Collserola range of mountains.
