Nevertheless, there is a very good train connection from Barcelona to Sitges, so it is totally worth taking the train and start riding safely in Sitges. But once at Sitges the range of rides is wide, especially leading to the hills and the Penedes wine region. The roads to Vilafranca del Penedes connect to the vineyards area. No wonder Vilafranca del Penedes is the capital of the Penedes wine region. The guided cycling tours from Sitges can be fully customized in terms of distance and difficulty. Nevertheless, our favorite ride from Sitges is about 100 km long with a couple of long but mild climbs in which you have amazing views of the countryside. There are also amazing spots as the Pantà de Foix (Foix dam) with great views of the fairy-tale village called Castellet. Worth a stop!
